Hey all, in the event you didn't know I am selling my desert eagle. While looking for a suitable replacement I came across the H&K MK23 and it looked super badass, until I saw the FPS.

Now the only reason I run a sidearm in the first place is my intent on running a DMR, something I am close to finishing, and now I'm confused as to if I could use the MK23 because of it's high FPS? I think some folk have hot-hitting pistols but they don't run DMRs, they run guns under 400fps (a far as I know).

So basically I'm wondering if the 330 FPS restriction is only for pistols being used as mandatory sidearms that couple with anything hotter than 400, or if EVERYONE has to follow that rule?

P.s: if you are interested in the Deagle I might hold off selling it until I get this situation sorted, though you are welcome to make an offer and/or check it out as I will eventually sell it.

The idea behind the restrictions is you must have something else to transition to. Reality is, you're gonna wanna shoot someone who is about to shoot you. If you have a secondary that is well within the FPS restrictions, you're good to go.

If your pistol is over 330fps, it falls into the 'riflemen' category, even if it is only a pistol. That means you follow the MEDs for the riflemen category; 40 foot MED/Full auto, inside of that semi only, etc, etc. I still prefer people not shooting one another with 330+ bang-sticks inside of 10feet, as it makes people cranky.

Ok so just to be 100% sure of things, I CAN have a pistol that shoots over 330 as long as I treat it as I would my M4 which shoots 370ish (i.e nothing within 10 feet). If so this is great news and ya'll might just see me rocking a sweet MK23 in the future Very Happy

Thanks JukeBox, helpful as always Very Happy
