Thoughts on using a red strobe light (like Litebuck) for a kill rag, or to supplement a kill rag during a day game?

If it is red and visible, we'll allow it. Point is, it's intended to keep you from being overshot, and to allow the other players to recognise you as 'dead,' as it's inconvenient to ask everyone to lay down every few minutes. Any night games, this is expected. During the day, bit harder to see them, particularly at range. So long as we don't get complaints from either party, it's all good. Best go for a bright one.

One frustration I've had with night games and red strobes or even chem lights is that some players run red flashlight filters to make their lights less visible. This causes some newer players to shoot at anything red including strobes and chem lights. Played a night game the other night and got lit up even with two strobing red lights on my head, but newbs will be newbs, it's definitely more visible than a kill rag for night games and if you're playing with the right group of players being shot with it on is less likely.

I haven't been to any night games yet but hopefully soon.

What if it was officially designated that any red strobing light is automatically considered a kill rag and off limits? At least it will simplify that aspect for everyone.

Solid red (ie. red chem light), however, is still iffy as it can still be mistaken for a "live" player with a tac-light & red filter.

Any thoughts?
